More sulfur does increase the potency of an anti-acne product, however it does also increase the chances of dryness. Coral KAVI is better-suited for treating acne on oily or combination skin. For acne-prone skin that is naturally dry (without the use of antiseborrheics), Aqua KAVI would be a better choice. 1% colloidal sulfur has the same potency as 5% precipitated sulfur. Even though it is more expensive to manufacture, we use colloidal sulfur because it improves the olfactory experience of the product. We use less sulfur in the suspension because that product is intended to remain on the skin, and even for very oily skin, the maximum dosage (at 10%) can result in dryness.
