Guest Jason W
Hi! I just purchased Glycolic Acid 30 and I'm gonna use it on my back. My question is, is it ok to use cotton balls to apply the product on my skin instead of gauze? If not, where can I buy gauze?
KAVI Support
You can use cotton balls, but be certain to use sterile cotton to avoid complications during administration. The waffle texture of gauze (when used in motion on the skin) can help retail preparations of glycolic acid loosen dead skin clusters and accelerate the exfoliation process. Alternatively, gauze strips may be moistened with glycolic acid before being laid flat on the skin. This approach prevents the liquid from running and ensures even coverage. Sterile gauze may be purchased at your local pharmacy.
