Guest JL
Hello, I just have a question about the salicylic acid 15. I have been using the salicylic 8 for over a year, and just finished using it twice a week for the past couple of months. My skin has improved, but I feel that in order for some of the acne, acne scarring, and larger pores on some places on my skin to really improve that upgrading to the stronger 15 solution might be a good idea. Is the 15 ok to use once a week at this point? Thanks for your time.
KAVI Support
If your skin has acclimated to Salicylic Acid 8 and there is no lingering redness or inflammation after the peel is removed, then stepping up to Salicylic Acid 15 should be ok. When first using Salicylic Acid 15, you may wish to perform an initial spot test and subsequently ensure that your first peel is not longer than 30 seconds. If your skin reacts well to the new strength, you can gradually increase the application time 15 seconds per week up to a maximum of 90 seconds.
