Hi, I ordered the Acne IV system and was curious to know if it is okay to use other prescription products in conjunction with the system(Specifically hydroquinone or tazarotene)?

While we must defer you to your physician for any medical advice, we can tell you that, depending on your skin type, you may not experience any issues from concurrent use of the products in the KAVI Anti-Acne Systems and either hydroquinone or tazarotene, especially if you take a measured approach to using the topicals in your skin care regimen.

For some, concurrent use of the products in the Anti-Acne Systems with hydroquinone may lead to dryness and, in more severe cases, temporary inflammation (including an increased occurrence of whiteheads). As for tazarotene, we would advise that you monitor your skin for any sensitivity and/or irritation that may arise from concurrent use. To reduce the chances of dryness or sensitivity, be sure to adequately moisturize your skin and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

If you do detect dryness, sensitivity or inflammation, discontinue usage of KAVI products for 2 weeks and consider recommencing at less frequent application intervals.
