It is a non-comedogenic (non-clogging), oil-free formula. If you would like to begin exfoliating your skin right away, you could opt for an alternative SPF product to use for the first week or so (e.g., Clinique's UV-Response). If you are exfoliating weekly and are spending more than a few moments in direct sunlight, then you should be applying sun block to your skin for every day you plan on spending extended time in the sun.
