Guest Marianne
have you guys thought about making a benzoyl peroxide product? im curious as to why you guys use sulfur rather than benzoyl peroxide. from what i understand, benzoyl peroxide seems to be the best otc acne product cuz it kills acne bacteria just like sulfur, but even better supposedly. also, in the sulfur lotion, why did you put precapitated sulfur in it over colloidal sulfur even colloidal absorbs into the pores easier and faster? KAVI Support
Benzoyl peroxide is an excellent anti-bacterial agent, but it also strips skin of its essential oils. Regular use will dehydrate epidermal tissue and can set in symptoms of premature aging. Benzoyl peroxide's side effects are well-known and it is prescribed as a measure against acne infections that may be caused by temporary hormonal changes. Chronic acne infection, however, should not be treated with benzoyl peroxide. Sulfur is as effective as benzoyl peroxide in treating acne, though it can be administered at a dosage that is potent yet prevents stripping of essential oils. Coral KAVI is formulated with 2% colloidal sulfur and can be used daily on oily skin. Aqua KAVI contains 1% colloidal sulfur and is better suited for regular use on normal skin. The KAVI Anti-Acne Lotion contains 6.6% precipitated sulfur and can complement daily cleansing with Coral KAVI when treating skin with more severe acne lesions (e.g., nodules and cysts). Precipitated sulfur is a better choice for a lotion where absorption should take place in a longer window of time.
