nhnks88
I have just ordered the Aqua Kavi and Coral Kavi bar soaps and am excited to try the system. I do have a few questions: What purpose does ethanol serve in your formulas? Since there is no regulating system for what is considered comedogenic or non-comedogenic, do you have a comedogenicity rating for your bar soaps? If not, do you know the rating for palm oil? It has been very hard for me to find. Are any of your products safe for use while pregnant or breastfeeding (not only your soaps)?
KAVI Support
Ethanol is used primarily as a stabilizing ingredient in the manufacture of our cleansing bars. We don't use a sliding scale for determining comedogenicity, only a pass/fail system. We would not advise relying on a point system for ingredients due to the large variances that may be observed between skin types. We would defer all questions regarding safety of use during pregnancy or nursing to your doctor. While there are no explicit reasons not to use our products while pregnant or nursing, the decision to do so rests between you and your doctor.
